God is Transcendent & Immanent

God transcends the world, but He is also immanent.

God is Transcendent

He is Beyond the Material World:

God is not contained within the physical universe or subject to its laws

He is Beyond Human Comprehension:

God's nature and ways are so far above and beyond human intellect and can only be understood through faith & revelation

He is Distinct from Creation:

God is distinct from and independent of the world, not part of it or identical to it. 

He is Revealed through Faith:

God's transcendence is a mystery, revealed through faith and through the incarnation of Jesus Christ. 

God is Immanent

He is present and active within creation, especially through the Holy Spirit.
